Chief Louis R. Ponce proudly serves as the Chief of Police for the Town of Medley, bringing extensive law enforcement experience marked by leadership, innovation, and dedication to community service. Throughout his career, Chief Ponce has held a wide range of operational and administrative assignments, including training, accreditation, investigations, special projects, and emergency management.
Under Chief Ponce’s leadership, the Medley Police Department emphasizes proactive policing, community engagement, and a commitment to excellence. He strongly believes in building partnerships with residents, businesses, and regional agencies to ensure a safer and more connected community.
Chief Ponce holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a Master’s degree in Public Administration. He has received numerous awards for outstanding service and leadership and is committed to professional development, and preparing the department for the significant growth the Town of Medley is poised to experience in the coming years.
