is in charge of the Patrol Division

The Patrol Division provides officers in the field to respond immediately to crimes and other incidents. All officers are trained in First Aid and CPR. All the patrol vehicles are equipped with First Aid boxes and Automatic External Defribulators. Within the Patrol Division there are small units that provide special services:

The Motorcycle Traffic Unit consists of a sergeant and two motorcycle officers who perform specialized traffic enforcement, crash investigations, and follow-up investigations on Hit and Run crashes.

Special units as needed i.e.; Crime Suppression Unit, Code Law Enforcment Team (C-LET), Motor Vehicle Enforcment Team

Crime Prevention Unit
Two officers are State Certified Crime Prevention Officer. The officers are available for conducting Security Surveys of businesses and residences and presenting Crime Prevention Seminars. If you would like one of these services or need additional information contact the Police Department.
